"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!" Jesus spoke these words in Mark 1:15 as he was beginning his ministry. Jesus' arrival was the breaking in of the kingdom of God and as followers of His, we are a part of that kingdom. We are kingdom people. In our new series, As It Is in Heaven, we are diving into the kingdom of God and its implications for Christ followers today.
This four-week series examines Jesus’s definition of the kingdom of God, and what these principles mean for believers today. As “people of the kingdom,” we must acknowledge God’s sovereignty over our lives, live with hope for the future, and align our wills to his reign.
This series, we believe, will help your congregation to connect their everyday lives and their every moment actions to something bigger than themselves - the kingdom of God. Your people will see that they are under the reign of the Almighty God and how to operate in the already, but not yet reality of the reign of God.
Through this series, subjects like power, politics, heaven, work, ethics, community, and more will be addressed and given biblical perspectives. If you want your congregation to begin to see what it means to be citizens of heaven and people of the kingdom of God, As It Is in Heaven needs to be in your preaching calendar.
Included in the series package is a media package, sermon series guide, small group questions, and more. It has everything you need to promote and execute this sermon series.
