Welcome to the last episode of Hello Church for this year! But instead of ending this season finale on a cliffhanger, we’re going to go out on a high note & share some of our favorite moments from the year. We’ll be back in 2021. Until then, please enjoy these highlights from our first year of the podcast!
Favorite Moments of 2020
Fair warning: we love a good Dad joke, so a lot of these moments are lighthearted. If you want to hear the jokes from Justin and Wade themselves, click the episode title to be taken to the video!
Justin’s wife telling him that he can “do anything he puts his mind to… Except be a standup comedian.” (Episode: Preaching with Humor)
Reminiscing over the dress that went viral because it sparked controversy over whether it was blue and black or white and gold (Episode: 5 Sermon Illustrations to Stop Using Now)
Beyond creating the show, however, we love connecting with you and hearing your feedback and comments. We’ve had such interesting conversations-especially surrounding sermon illustrations- and we can’t wait to continue them in the new year!
So, on whatever platform you listen, be sure to subscribe to Hello Church and turn on notifications. We’ll continue releasing new episodes every week, and helping you focus on recovery and growth after the crazy year we’ve had. 2020 has been a blow to the momentum of evangelism and discipleship for many churches, but we want a different story in 2021. Our goal is for you to be able to experience growth in 2021, to look back and say, “Wow, we learned a lot, and we grew numerically and spiritually in 2021. By the grace of God, we came back stronger.”
We’ll see you in the new year! And don’t worry, we’ll show up with a fresh batch of dad jokes.
