Opposition often sows doubt, planting seeds of uncertainty to undermine confidence. In Nehemiah 4:2-3, we see this strategy unfold through Sanballat’s words. He stands before his allies and the army of Samaria and mocks the Jews:
“What are these feeble Jews doing?”—They’re weak.
“Will they restore it for themselves?”—Do they really have the ability to pull this off?
“Will they sacrifice?”—Do they even have the faith? Is their God real?
“Will they finish in a day?”—If they don’t finish quickly...
