You can have sugar, vanilla, even chocolate chips, but the flour makes a cookie a cookie. It is important to not only stress Christ’s sacrifice but also his resurrection. Most dead heroes become martyrs. Jesus isn’t a martyr because he rose again. Death was not the final act.
