We often misunderstand the heart of God, imagining Him as a stern, “wait till your father gets home” figure. We hide, afraid to confess, trying to make ourselves look better.
But that’s not God.
God is like a father sitting patiently on the edge of a child’s bed, waiting with a gentle smile as the child hides under the blanket, afraid to come out. He isn’t angry—He’s ready to welcome, embrace, and reassure.
That’s who God truly is.
