Hattie May Wiatt was a little girl who lived in Philadelphia in the late 19th She died and left her life savings of $0.57 to Grace Baptist Church so they could build a bigger building for the children’s Sunday school. When the church learned of her generous gift, they gave toward her vision and bought a property that then expanded to Temple College, which then became Temple University and led to the Temple University Hospital.
