“I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”

“I Can’t Get No Satisfaction”
The 1965 Rolling Stones song “Satisfaction” relates to Qoheleth’s experience when it says, “I can’t get no satisfaction.” In chapter 2, the Preacher tries to find meaning in the pleasures of life (v. 1), money (v. 8), education (v. 12), work (v. 18) only to find that they leave him empty and will eventually fall away. They can never give ultimate satisfaction in life.
