In 2010, Laura Hillenbrand released a book entitled Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. She shared Louis Zamperini’s experience as a Japanese prisoner of war and his later release and conversion to Christianity. His story is unbelievably dark at times and yet he still forgave the most ruthless of his captors in person.
