The Arkansas River, which begins in Leadville, Colorado, snakes through the mountains for 152 miles with an elevation drop of 4,650 feet (“The Arkansas River,” Arkansas River Outfitters, accessed August 23, 2018). The force and consistent movement of the water slowly rubs against the walls of the canyons, eroding away some of the rock and cutting the canyon deeper and deeper each year. God’s faithful and persistent love continues to move on our stony hearts, shaping and moving us as he desires.
