Reconciliation or Revenge

“Vengeance is a lazy form of grief” (http://www.wingclips.com/movie-clips/the-interpreter/choosing-forgiveness). In the movie The Interpreter, one character shares the story of a tribal community that chose forgiveness over retribution. The Bible tells of a similar response to an offense in the book of Philemon. Philemon could have taken his grief, offense, and anger at what a fellow Christian named Onesimus had done to him, or he could welcome a fellow brother in Christ and show love.
