Imbalanced Life

Tunnel vision is an ailment caused by conditions like glaucoma. It severely restricts our eyesight and can lead to disorientation and imbalance. Like tunnel vision, sin can have a similarly restrictive and disorienting effect in our lives. We imagine that we are uniquely evil and alone in a situation. The woman caught in adultery likely felt immense shame and isolation surrounded by her accusers. Yet, Jesus’s mercy exposed the sin of her accusers and called her to a new reality.
