Trusting can be scary. There are so many things in life we are called to do that require trust. The first time we take our kids out to drive, we are willing to start small and drive in a parking lot or back road. Over time, we build up a reserve of trust and allow them to drive down the street. Eventually, we give the car over to them and say, “Take it on the highway.” We may not realize it at the time, but we are showing them we trust them and teaching them to trust themselves.
