A great mystery movie or novel conceals the identity of the mystery’s central figure until the right moment. When the author or director finally unveils the plot twist, everything else snaps into place. Parts of the story that seemed disconnected suddenly make sense. When Jesus came to earth and the Father revealed him as his Son, the whole Bible made sense in a way that Paul sometimes called a mystery (Colossians 1:26–27).
