This four-week series examines the idea of idolatry in the lives of God’s people. Through examining the struggle with idol worship in the Old Testament, we see that idols are not just images people bow to but inward dispositions to place something else or someone else above God. We may have practical idols that we obsess over because we believe they’ll help us survive, or we may place our hope and trust in something that ultimately won’t save us.
