In the Gospels, miracles were out of the ordinary events that revealed the power of God and the identity of Jesus. The greatest miracle of God is the forgiveness of sins. To demonstrate his authority to work this miracle, Jesus healed the sick and disabled, calmed the forces of nature, set people free from the bondage of evil, and raised the dead. These miracles of Jesus reveal definitively that he is God incarnate. They compel us to pray for our unbelieving friends and loved ones, and share with them the love and power of the Son of God.
