The final lesson from this example is that the Macedonians gave more than money—they offered themselves.
In verse 5, Paul writes, “And this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.” Their generosity extended beyond finances; it included their time, energy, prayers, and willingness to assist in any way possible.
