Who is the Author?
The author of the First Epistle to the Corinthians is the Apostle Paul. Pauline authorship is largely undoubted by scholars, for a number of reasons. First, the language of this epistle is similar to other authentic Pauline letters. Second, it fits historically with what scholars know of the Corinthian church at this time. Testimony from the early church has also held to a firm Pauline authorship.1
