Who is the Author?
The author of the Second Epistle to the Corinthians was the Apostle Paul. Like the First Epistle to the Corinthians, there is considerable historical and literary evidence for Pauline authorship (including acknowledgment of Pauline authorship in the salutations of these letters). Even the most critical scholars agree that Paul penned both 1 and 2 Corinthians.1 Most of the debate surrounding 2 Corinthians does not concern authorship but the question of whether it was one letter or a composite letter.2
